Os Smiles 'n' Cries são uma banda de rock Portuguesa formada em 2006, nos arredores de Torres Vedras, constituida por Sérgio David (voz / guitarra), Carlos Samora (guitarra), Fernando Correia (baixo) e Hugo Gomes (bateria).
Esta banda encarna a alma do oeste português, exibindo-o num groove de stoner rock em fusão com rock americano 60's. As suas músicas sofrem nitidamente inspirações do rebelde e astuto Oceano Atlântico transmitidas através de letras interventoras ecológicas e de crítica política.
Smiles 'n' Cries tem participado em concertos desde 2006 (In Live Caffe, Ponto de Encontro c/ Lírio Cão, Bar do Gil, etc.), tendo finalizado um CD demo.

Biography

Smiles ‘n’ Cries is a Portuguese rock band formed in 2006, in the neighborhood of Torres Vedras, comprising Sérgio David (lead vocals and guitar), Carlos Samora (guitar), Fernando Correia (bass) and Hugo Gomes (drums).
This band incarnates the soul of Portuguese west and became to play with the groove of stoner rock in fusion with the 60’s American rock. In their music we can clearly fell inspirations of the rebel and sly Atlantic Ocean strengthened with interventional lyrics and social criticism.
Smiles ‘n’ Cries had been playing since 2006 (In Live Caffé, Ponto de Encontro with Lírio Cão, Bar do Gil, and others). They have just finished the first demo CD.
